This module is all about exploring magnets. Students categorize different substances as magnetic or non-magnetic by observing the effect of magnet on them. Through the series of investigations students learn to identify the poles of magnet using a compass, also observe repulsion and attraction force of the magnets and learn more about their properties. Students also discuss uses for magnets and brainstorm examples of magnets in use in their everyday lives.

3Pe.03 Investigate how some materials are magnetic but many are not.
