Biomimicry

Students learn about biomimicry. And understand how biomimicry has resulted in many innovative products, such as, streamline shape of birds that inspired humans to design aircraft. They also learn how engineers often imitate nature in the design of innovative new products by design their own model of a glider inspired by birds. Students also demonstrate their knowledge of biomimicry by practising brainstorming and designing a new product based on what they know about animals and nature.
